Nelson Mandela

1918  was born at Qunu , near Umtata on 18 Jully

1952  opend the first Black Law firm in South Africa

1944  Mandela helped found the ANC Youth League

1949  action was adopted by ANC

1952  Defaince compaign and later acts of sabotage

late 50's  resign from the ANC and worked underground

1956-1961  charged with treason

1960   Sharpeville massacre of 63 black South African's

1962  arrested and imprisonment in the nortorous Robben Island prison 

1990   release from prison

1994  first democratically elected State President of South Africa

1999  president until June

1993  awarded noble price jointly with F.W DE Klerk

1911- went to St Cyprain's School.
1917 - won a scholarship in Eton.
1921 - joined British Police in Burma
1927 - resigned from his job
1928 - journey
1932-1933 - work as a Teacher
1933 - his first book was published.
1934 - published his first novel Burmese
1935 - another novel published
1936 - keep the Aspidistra flying
1936 - Orwell married Eileen
1936 - commissioned to write a book
1937 - wigan pier was published
1938 - published homage
1938 - suffering from tuberculosis
1938-1939 - spent winter in Morocco
1939 - another novel was published
1941-1943 - worked for BBC
1943 - become literary editor
1945 - satire animal farm was published
1949 - masterpiece 1984 was published
 1949 - married second wife Sonia
1950 - died on  25 January
